Illegal Rubber

Hi PingSkills!

I've heard that you cannot bring unapproved ITTF rubber to competitions, so I was wondering, should I stick to my old bat, the one with the approved rubber on one side? Or do I need to change the rubber on the backhand side? Or can I.. get away with illegal rubber at school or local tournments?

Thanks!

Hi Yu,

It is better to get used to playing with legal rubbers.

Tone is in Your Fingers

There's is an old saying about guitar playing - tone is in your fingers. And If you've ever seen a really good guitarist play an old guitar then you'll understand how true that saying is. I know we go on a lot about this topic but it is so true. Once you've got yourself a decent bat, it's no longer up to the equipment, it's up to YOU!

Ohh. Okay.Thanks!
But the.. thing that covers the bat when you buy it has this ITTF logo and "Authorized Racket Covering" on it so I'm not so sure...
