hi, last time i changed rubbers i noticed some thin slithers of wood had been pulled off the blade. do you think that matters or changes the performance of the bat?

Hi Andrew,

Yes it can start to make a difference if the surface of the blade is uneven. You could lightly sand the surface to get it even or you may consider sealing the surface with a varnish.

I know we go on a lot about this topic but it is so true. Once you've got yourself a decent bat, it's no longer up to the equipment, it's up to YOU!
