Spin near the table

Coach when i am playing sometimes the opponent tries to do spin and it is very near to the table so it gets difficult to play it

Hi Dawood,

If the ball is close to the net try to make a Forehand Push or Backhand Push stroke.

Then it is a matter of getting the basics of reading spin correct.  Use the angle of your bat to return the ball.  If you need more information on the basics of returning spin take a look through the content we have on our Receiving Secrets course.

Fake Movements

After the ball has left the server's bat, they can no longer affect the spin that is on the ball. Any movements after the contact are referred to as fake movements and are meant to confuse you as the receiver. You need to focus on the contact to read the spin.
