Hi Luka,

You will be surprised at how little you need to hold the bat to make a good shot.  The bat should slide out of your hand with just a little force.

Most players hold their bats too tightly.  Take a look at the lesson on Get a Grip where we show you this.

Lennert, smashing from under the table is practically impossible stroke as smash is  a hard hit.
Smash is played against high balls
Only high.
Some players are able to smash even lower balls, but smash from under the table?
It is against the physical laws.

The stroke you are talking about is probably Backhand Topspin.

 Hi Lennert,

If the ball is that low you need to make a topspin stroke to make sure the ball can get up and down quickly. If you try to smash you will make a lot of errors.  Perhaps the closest video we have at the moment is the Backhand Topspin Off Backspin where if you imagine the ball dropping lower you can then lift the ball up more with the topspin stroke.

I must agree that the soft grip is very good.
Today I have finally found the right amount of tightness of my grip.
My sparringpartner said that although my chops are now higher, the amount of spin on them is at least tripled
