Hi Alois.

I am Ram from India.  I recenly became a new member of pingskills.  I would like to ask you whether a good singles player can always be a good doubles player.   What special set of skills would be required to play doubles.  If so kindly specify.  Awaiting for ur kind response                                                                                                                  Warm Regards

Hi Ram,

A good singles player can usually play doubles well.  It sin't like in Tennis or Badminton where there are specialist doubles players.

The main thing is to find someone who is compatible with your style.  Often it is good to have one player who is more attacking and the other more control.  A left hander and a right hander also is a big advantage in doubles.

Players who can move well also help in the doubles combination so that you can get out of the way when it is your partner's turn to hit the ball.
