hi again ping skills, my question is that whenever i am trying to slice the ball to generate backspin on the ball it is also generating side spin on the ball which is not very effective . I just wanted to know what i am doing wrong ?

Hi Faiq,

It is probably just the angle of your bat on contact with the ball. If on a backhand push the ball is curving to the left you have the end of your bat lower than your hand.  Lift the end a little to get the ball with straight backspin.

Apply this same principle to correct any type of sidespin.
