Hey coach, every time I try to sidespin the ball, I either end up missing or hitting the ball with the side of my bat. Any tips or suggustions?

Hi Tyler,
This is a difficult skill. Keep persevering with it.
Try slowing down the action to start with and making the action smaller Isolate the contact point and just repeat this many times to get it right. Once you get more confidence with the contact you can start to extend the swing and speed it up.
