Dear Alois and jelff i was looking at past e-mails correspondence and in particuliar the short serve i wanted to relook at the technique. I remember you mention to produce a short service not only is a fast contact required but also i've noticed the ball has to be served near the body also can you talk me through on a low serve where the ball is not too high,  overall i want my serve to be difficult to hit, also because of secrets of the serve i can produce all serves.

Hi Derrick,

Firstly it is great that you are able to do a wide variety of serves.

To get the serve short get the first bounce close to you on your side.  About 30cm in from your end line.

To get it low, make sure you are hitting the ball from reasonably low.  If you hit the ball when it is too high, the ball will also bounce high.  You can also use the aid we show you in our lesson on Keeping The Ball Low.
