Hello Alois and Jeff,

Topspin, the thing that I can't do the most. I know how to do it,but sometimes,I just can't make it sharp. My opponent can easily smash it when I'm going to topspin the ball. Please give me some information about making my topspin more sharper. Thank you. You guys are the best

Hi Matthew,

First it is important to get the technique correct.  Then once you do, you can just move your racket through the stroke faster and you will get a sharper result.

Also take a look at our lesson on Advanced Forehand Topspin.  This is a Premium member video but you may be able to join even for a month to get access to this and all of the rest of the lessons.

Strawberry Flick

The strawberry flick is the opposite of the banana flick and involves utilising the wrist to get the ball spinning with topspin and sidespin. Used in conjunction with the banana flick it can be very deceptive. The banana flick is a more reliable stroke and that's why you see more top players using it over the strawberry flick.
