Good day,
I would like to ask you about a service return for a forehand topspin serve combined with a downforce sidespin and forward force, which enables the ball to fast after hitting table then it will make a stopping motion when it arrives at my forehand side.
This stopping motion is very annoying and when i tried to touch it with side racket with downforce brushing motion, it sometimes or rarely comes over the net.
He's our mentor here in Riyadh (shhh!)
Any advice, still I have more questions,
His game is a combination of JO Waldner on the control, attack and forehand ball returns and Koji on the chopping, sidespin and backhand attack, and many more techniques that I haven't seen before in Youtube.
I always watch you in youtube,
Best regards,
Arthur of KSA
Hi Arthur,
You need to watch what happens to the ball when you try to return it. Check to see where the ball is going and then make an adjustment according to that. If the ball is going into the net, then you need o turn the angle of your bat back a little. If it is going to the side then adjust the angle of your bat even more with the sideways angle. Sometimes it is just a matter of experimentation till you get the angle just right. With more experience against the serves this will come the first time rather than the 5th.
I hope we will be able to help you with this. And you secret is safe with me!!
