How to select the serve to use in different situations ?

When do we use long serve?

When do we use backhand serve?

Which serve should should be use at 9-10 ?

Hi Pongsarin,

Deciding on a serve is something that you need to do each point.  There will always be lots of options but it is about selecting one and executing it the best that you can.

Some considerations are what type of serves your opponent doesn't like to receive.  Also think about variation of serves so that they don't get used to the same serve after a while.

In a crucial point at the end of a game the same ideas apply.  If you reversed the thinking which serve wouldn't you like to receive... it is usually a serve that you normally don't enjoy receiving and with the added pressure of it being a close game it may be even more difficult for you.  Therefore, choose a serve you know they don't normally like.
