Does anyone use safety glasses when they are playing? I'm in the process of completing cataract surgery and I'm thinking about protecting my eyes when I get back. I've not seen table tennis specific safety glasses but there are some for other racket sports like pickle ball. I've not been hit directly in my eye but I've been hit really close twice.

Hi Rick,
I haven't seen many players wear protective glasses and I haven't ever seen an eye injury.
However, if you feel that it will make you more comfortable then I recommend you wear them. I think the glasses for other racket sports would be appropriate.
