Between a 2.1mm and a 1.9mm what is the difference?, same rubber, different thickness. what is each better at? what are the pros and cons if any. Is it personal preference? beginner, advanced?

Hi James,

The thicker rubber the more speed and spin and the less control you will get.

For a beginner it is best to use a medium thickness rubber around 1.5mm sponge. The better players will tend to use 2mm or thicker rubber.
