Strokes
Can you post a video about the Reverse Penhold Backhand Chop and when it is appropriate to use it?
Hi Austin,
It is not a shot that you would use very often. Most of the time you would use the normal side of your racket to play this shot. In some circumstances the reverse chop may be appropriate if you are a long way away from the table and the bat comes fast at you. It is difficult to get the bat under the ball if you need to get the ball up.
We will put this on the list of videos to look at.
The forehand counterhit or forehand drive is the foundation for more attacking strokes such as the forehand topspin or forehand loop. There are 3 critical factors:
If you concentrate on these 3 factors then your stroke will become extremely consistent. Once you can reliably hit 100 balls in a row then you are ready for more attacking strokes. If you can hit 1,000 balls on in a row then you know you've truly mastered the stroke.
