Reverse pendulum serve in doubles

Serving

Hi,

I am finally starting to get spin and speed on my reverse pendulum serve, it is funny that suddenly I was trying this serve after 2 weeks and it started to work out of the blue :)

Now, I am planning to use it in matches. We tend to play a lot of doubles matches. As I am a left handed player, I think it will be difficult for me to use reverse pendulum serve and get the ball cross court. Any advice that I can use?

As an aside, it feels that the reverse pendulum requires a lot of wrist work, I think I sprained my wrist :(

Hi Abhinav,

To get the ball across for the doubles serve just change the angle of your feet slightly.  It will just take a little bit of practice.

You do need to be careful of your body when you are doing something new repetitively.  Maybe take a rest from it for a few days and make sure your wrist recovers properly.
