Hi Alois,

I just started playing in a club.I am playing with several opponent with very fast topspins/slams that i can barely react to block,topspin/smash back their strokes. What should i do to return these strokes? So that i could catch up to their speed. Also my coach said that i could not get back to return them, but i am not quick enough to make the stroke and the movements to the ball.Any help would be great!

Thank you

Hi Jiadong,

The more you play against the faster ball the better you will get at reacting.

Try to stay close to the table to improve your reactions during training. In a match when you are really struggling you could move back to give yourself more time.

  3. Finish Position: Completing the stroke in a way that prepares you for the next shot.

Additionally, we discuss how to adjust your bat angle if the ball goes long, emphasizing the importance of maintaining the same start and finish positions without coming across your body.

Whether you're a beginner aiming to build a solid foundation or an advanced player looking to refine your technique, this comprehensive guide is designed to enhance your game.
