Good Day Alois,

Seems similar question to another i've seen recently, but one of my friend serves with heavy backspin and the serve is often long, it also gets lot of side spin, what is the best way to return the serve? When i try to defend with a push, it gets nice height to opponent to make an attacking stroke, if i try to attack it, it goes off the table. Appreciate your help.

Hi Pavan,

THe best thing is to try to attack this ball with topspin.  This will take a while to get perfect but you just need to keep working on it because it is such an important stroke in the game.

Take a look at our lesson on the Forehand Topspin Off Backspin.  Then all you need to do is adjust for any sidespin that is on the ball.
