Hi sir,

When I am playing a fast rally, I am unable to play the stroke due to my weak reflexes. I try to concentrate but this doesn't help me out from the problem. Please give me your ideas and good drills to increase my reflexes on the upcoming ball.

Hi Abhi,

The key is being able to watch the ball well. This means not only looking at the ball but actually watching it closely.  The best information you will get about what is happening with the ball is from the ball itself.  You will also see a lot more of what is happening around the ball with your peripheral vision.

In training you can do some multiball where the other player is feeding the ball out really fast to you.  This can be useful to a point but not totally useful because it doesn't teach you to track the ball effectively.

You can also get your training partner to block the ball to you anywhere on the table while you hit to just one spot.  This will improve your tracking of the ball as well.
