Hi Coach,

I used to return serve with short heavy backspin. I have learned to give long heavy backspin return and now i forgot how to return short heavy backspin return. Now my natural tendency to return long heavy backspin return, my opponent catch this thing and they are ready for it.

I want to learn how to return short heavy backspin again. Can you advice for me.

 Thanks in advance.

Hi Trilochan,

When ou are trying to play the ball short just contact the ball a little thinner.  You still need to brush under the ball but get a slighter contact with it to get it short.  The other thing to focus on is just aim shorter. This may sound simplistic but it can work for you.  Pick out a spot on the table and aim for it.
