I want to purchase a paddle and need advice on my selection.  I am female and have not played for the last 50 years. I have joined a well organized group which has advanced players and then a mixed skill level from beginner through players that have played for many many years.

Hi Ruth,

There are literally hundreds of good options out there.  That is why we provide a couple of simple options on our site that we know will be suitable.

Take a look at the PingSkills Rook or the PingSkills Touch with Mark V.  If you are still learning the basic strokes I would recommend the Rook.  If you are starting to play more competitively and have a good grasp of the basic strokes then the Touch would work for you.

However, as I said there are a lot of good options out there.  If you find something, let me know and I will let you know how suitable they will be.

Tone is in Your Fingers

There's is an old saying about guitar playing - tone is in your fingers. And If you've ever seen a really good guitarist play an old guitar then you'll understand how true that saying is. I know we go on a lot about this topic but it is so true. Once you've got yourself a decent bat, it's no longer up to the equipment, it's up to YOU!
