Dear Alois Sir

I face a problem while looping with Forehand a ball which is chopped . I am using Gergly & Vega pro on FH & Vega Japan on bh. I have also tried Mazunov blade with Vega Asia rubbers  but in that case the ball could not go beyond the Net. Pl guide me . Do you  think switching to Touch Vega pro will make any difference. I understand that I am lacking practice & technique. But I am 54 yrs (started to play from last four years) and playing for Fitness . Thanks Rajeev

Hi Rajeev,

I don't think the equipment is the issue.  You need to think about your technique.  Focus on the start and finish positions that we emphasise in the lesson on the Forehand Topspin Off Backspin.  Also make sure you are getting good speed with your contact to counteract the backspin.

I think you will be able to learn this stroke with your current equipment.

Forehand Chop

The forehand chop is a defensive stroke played away from the table. It is mainly used by defenders but can also be incorporated into an attackers game when forced away from the table.
