Hi! I have some stroke problems when i.e. in a tournament they use a different ball than that I used on training. I use nittaku 3 star balls and my fh topspin hasn't so much problems (I'm pretty sure to put the ball on the table 80% of the time). When the ball changed (joola 3 star super 40) my chance of landing a topspin on the table drop suddendly to approx. 20%. I feel the second ball very light and I try to adjust the racket angle but with no success. What i'm doing wrong?

Thanks,

Arturo

Hi Arturo,

The Joola ball may have been slightly lighter.  However the change in stroke is not very big.  The most important thing is to allow yourself to adjust.  Perhaps playing with a little more topspin or by turning your angle down a little as you tried.

In training play with a few different balls to allow yourself to adjust more easily.
