Training
Greetings,
I would just like to ask if practicing with pimples is the same as if you were practicing using normal table tennis rackets. I am a newbie to table tennis and my friend gave me the racket with pimples. Additional question: Is practicing on the mirror good when you don't have a table? Have a nice day!
Hi Angelo,
It is very different to hit with pimples compared to normal rubber. I would focus playing with the type of racket you are playing matches with.
Practising in a mirror can be useful to give yourself feedback on what your stroke looks like compared to how it feels. Then transfer that onto the table so that you have the same stroke in the practical setting as well.
The high toss serve is not being used by a lot of players and this can be your advantage. If you can learn this serve you will gain an advantage on your opponents who are not used to returning it. Watch this master class to learn how to do it and why it is so effective.
