Hi Joe,

It is difficult to learn the game properly with this kind of bat.

The ball comes off very flat.  It makes it difficult to develop your strokes.  I would advise you try a bat with some sponge.

Make sure you buy a table tennis bat that is suitable for your level and allows you to develop your technique. For your first bat we recommend the PingSkills Rook, and when you upgrade to a custom bat we recommend the PingSkills Touch with Mark V or Rakza 7.

Hi Joe,

You can be a bit more patient.  It is difficult for them to attack with this kind of bat.  If they are attacking with it, it is a bit harder for them to handle really heavy spin but they like the ball coming flat usually.  If they are defending with it they won't mind too much spin.  Try to keep the ball low because it is hard for them to lift the ball because of the lack of grip.
