Playing Games

Hi Alois and Jeff,

My age is 29, I've been playing for 3 years regularly. There are players, aged between 10-15 in the club, who are National Players. Whenever I play games with them, I feel dismal situations. The ratio of Win-Lose is equal. When I win, they become sad and I feel bad, too. When I lose, I feel worried that if I can't win against them, how can I win against bigger players? For some days, I've stopped to play games against them. I realised that there is a need to play against different style players. What to do? Should I play against them, or continue until the tournaments as there will be six in a row after two months?

Hi Jaydev,

Definitely keep playing games.  They need to learn to lose as well as win.  You are doing them a favour every time you beat them.

As far as you feeling bad about losing to them, remember they may have been playing for just as long as you if not longer and at that age it is easier to learn new things.

Keep enjoying the game and focus on your improvement.

Thank You for the answer!

Yes, that sounds effective. If I beat them, I am doing favour to them. Certainty, I will start playing with them again.
