Alois,

I play with right hand and I  am 1400 level. About a month now, I've been practicing playing left hand and getting better. My plan, is I'll playing either hand during the match. For example, left hand serve short backhand to my opponent's forehand and switch to my right hand for smash, counter hit or flip. after my opponent return my serve. Any pro or con on this strategy?

Thank you in advance,

Rodrigo

Hi Rodrigo,

I would tend to just using one hand to focus on with your training. In a match it is difficult to get the time to switch hands.

Every now and then you can do a little with your other hand but you will find that it is difficult to develop both sides.  You are naturally dominant on one side.

The time you spend working on the other side would be better spent on your dominant side.
