Training
hi there!!
i prefer to put hard spin on every service i do.Some times i lose points after receivers returns the serve.esp. when i do the pendulam side back , often the comes to my backhand side and thats where i lose the point. i find difficult shifting towards backhand and hitting forehand topspin and i find difficult hitting bankhand topspin too. I really want to attack but just end up pushing the ball.I really need help what should i work with . and what type of practice lessons would make me prefect?
Hi Yashant,
You should practice the Falkenberg drill. Take a look at our Training Drills brochure for more information on the drill. It will help you with your moving around to the backhand corner to make a forehand topspin.
You should also practice the third ball drill where you serve and get your training partner to push the ball back to your backhand corner. Then you step around and make a forehand topspin. The key is to make a good enough movement so that you are balanced during the stroke.
The push is an important part of Table Tennis. It is a defensive stroke which you use to make it hard for your opponent to attack. This week we give you a number of pushing drills and even incorporate some pushing games into the session for a bit of fun. We continue to work on your serve and in this session we concentrate on your placement.
