Hi alois!

My thumb and forefinger (i am a pen holder), usually get hurt if i play table tennis for a long time, is it because the model of the bat doesn't match with my hand? I have check my grip and i think it is correct like how you recommended. I have 3 kind of bats, and all of it make my fingers hurts, it makes me uncomfortable.

So, i plan to pared my bat to make it match to my hand, to make it comfortable. But i want to ask you first, and ask your permission to.

Thank you, and i want to join table tennis championship in my city at the end of this august, so i have to win at school first, maybe at the middle of august, i have 3 rivals, watch the tournament preparation videos is still recommended for low level matches right?

Hi Kevin,

You are allowed to shape the blade if you want to.  Just make sure you don't take too much off and upset the balance of the bat.

For your tournament preparation think about improving your game.  Work on your strokes and serves a lot.
