OX or sponge

Many of my friends in town use an OX style(long pips) paddle. I lack experience while facing players using sponge with their long pimpled rubbers. So i wanted to know whether ox is better or sponge?

Hi Harry,
OX gives them more effect on the ball. The reversal of the spin will be stronger than with sponge.
It also is more difficult for the player using OX to control the ball so could lead to them making more errors.
