hi alois and jeff,

a new opponent of mine has a reallyyy irritating habit (more like luck) for hitting the ball to net for all shots/pushes. he gets about 6 points just by this! isnt there anything i can do anticipate when the ball may hit the net? and also how do i stop him from doing this and how do i recieve one of these balls?

thanks!

Hi Shripathi,

The best thing you can do is track the ball closely.  The fact that he is hitting the net may not just be luck.  If you are playing close the the net regularly because you are accurate enough then that is a skill to be accepted.  In fact the best shot in Table Tennis is to get the ball consistently close to the net.

So, just keep tracking the ball and see if you can start to get your shots closer to the net as well.
