Make an opponent play high

Hi Alois,is there a way to make my opponent give me a high balls so i could topspin or smash it.

Hi Abbas,

One good way is with you serve.  By varying the spin on the serve you can sometimes get them to pay the ball higher.

If you have a good heavy backspin and then a no spin serve that looks similar the opponent will often hit the return higher.

Another way is to vary the spin on your pushes.  Again vary between heavy and less backspin will lead to you getting some higher balls to attack.

You could even add some topspin to your serves that look like backspin.
