Hi Alois,

In that video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KVFV8NVuDX0 I think Ma Long is talking about changing the grip between forehand and backhand by putting the thumb on the rubber for the backhand. Can I do it in a match?

Hi Nasko,

A small adjustment is OK as long as you are quick enough to do it.  Ma Long does many hours of training to get this change on the grip correct.  He is also seeing the ball very early and can make those adjustments.  To start off with it is easier to keep a similar grip for both forehand and backhand.
