hi

sir i just wanna know why ma long needs to crouch when he serve?

Hi Judah,

It gets him into a better position to move to the next ball.  If he has his legs straight it is harder to start moving.  The legs are your strongest muscles for moving so by crouching you are getting them ready for action.

Also by crouching he is able to hit the ball from lower which helps him to get the serve to bounce lower over the net.
