Serving
HI alois
I have just come across doing the ma lin serve.
I could make the ball come back to the net now but i find it to be ineffective.
I say its not hard to flick the serve.
Hi Mat,
You are right, it is not very effective if you don't get the ball really low and quite fast. If it is slow then it is easy for opponent to come in and flick it away for a winner. You will notice when Ma Lin does it the ball bounces very low. The important thing is not that it comes back to the net but that it has a lot of backspin and stays low.
