Loosening grip with every shot

Strokes

Hi, my name is Raisa, I'm from Peru and I started playing ping pong 6-7 months ago.

I have improved at a pretty fast pace, but the problem I keep having is that I loose the grip on my racket every time the rally lasts more than two shots. With every shot my grip gets looser and looser, and I don't know what to do to have a more firm grip without holding the racket too tight. I'll appreciate any suggestions.

Thank you for all your video tutorial! They have helped me significantly.

Best to you both,

Raisa

Hi Raisa,

This is something you can focus on in training.  One way I have seen is to put a small piece of paper under your forefinger.  If your grip loosens and moves this paper will fall.  Keep focusing on the tension in your fingers and keep reminding yourself to keep them relaxed.
