Coach my opponent serves with a normal yasaka mark V rubber and though i am pretty good with push and lifting spin serves i find it difficult to lift this serve. He does it with his backhand side and since it bounces on the table only one i have even tried using topspin and opening the face of the bat but still i cant lift it.  The main problem is that i dont know the effect on the ball with that serve. How can i know the effect on the ball and also lift it low? I lose all my points due to his serve plz help me.

Hi Kailash,

The best way to handle this serve is to push it back.  You will need to open the face of the racket right up to allow for the heavy backspin on the ball.

It is a heavy backspin serve so you will need to adjust for the backspin.
