Hello Sir

Wanted to know what is similar in forehand loop and forehand topspin as both the actions are similar.

Hi Pranav,

The terms are interchangeable.  However the loop is often referred to the topspin type stroke you make against a backspin ball.

When you need to reach that really wide ball the regular shuffle step just won't get you there in time so you need to use the crossover step. This is essentially a running action to get you to the ball as fast as possible.
