Hi,

I'm 36 and playing tt for a few years now. I don't have a coach but cause I'm devoloping I also like to progress in serving.

On youtube a find alot of serves (pendulum/reverse pendulum/tomahawk/top players serves/ etc.). Alot of those serves look difficult for me. I also never had youth training so i dont now where to start.

What are the basics and how can I devolope from there?

Hi Peter,

I think the best place to start is with the Strokes & Techniques section of the site.  Go through these lessons and develop those skills first.

Later we have some Premium lessons dedicated to serving that will help with that area as well.

The forehand smash is used when the ball is around shoulder height or above. It is a much harder stroke to play than it looks. Follow the tips on this video lesson to ensure your smash is an effective weapon.
