Hi Alois Rosario,

Hope you are enjoying good health. I play a lot of table tennis but the problem comes when it comes to my forehand. I cant play front shots. My backhand is pretty much strong.

Can you suggest how to improve the front hand shot? How to set the angle in front shot?

I shall be very thankful to you for this nice cooperation.

Regards,

Osama

Hi Osama,

Generally people who are very strong on the backhand side stand very square on to the table. This is not the ideal position for the forehand. Take a look at our video on the Forehand Counterhit and pay particular attention when Alois explains the feet position.

I think if you stand a little more side on for the forehand you'll find the stroke easier. Let me know if this helps you out.

Relaxation: The Secret to More Power

In this video we show you a simple trick to improve your strokes by making them more economical. You'll notice increased power for less effort. When you tense your muscles too much you actually get less power and become more tired. However when you relax the opposite happens. It's why all the best players look like they are hitting the ball so hard without much effort.
