hello coach, I would just like to ask if how will I be able to improve my game without any personal coach guiding me. I qualified for the regional games last october and I have been practicing with myself since then through match-plays only. The regional games is just 1 month away and I want to qualify for the next round which is the national games. However, I can't afford a personal coach to help me improve faster. What can I do to help myself be in my best condition right before the regionals? What are some exercises can I perform to elevate my level? can I just rely on playing match-plays all the time as a means of improving my game with just a month left for practice or should I include some other activities? thanks coach, sorry for being too inquisitive haha

Hi Wayne,

Training is the key.  I would focus a lot on the service and 3rd ball drills over the next month.  Set up some drills with another player and practice this part of your game regularly.  Also play games which will help you too.

We have a free download of training drills that you can do.  Take a look in our Free Downloads section at the Training Drills download.  You will find lots of interesting drills there for you.  For our Premium members access the Training Secrets section for help on which drills to choose to improve different aspects of your game. Premium members can also access the 52 Week Training Plan where the last 8 weeks are focused on preparation for a tournament.

Try to analyse for yourself what is going wrong or right with your skills.  This will ultimately help you to develop even more of the future.

Good luck with your training and your competition.
