Dearest Jeff and Alois,

I miss asking you questions live on your show. Hope I'll manage to catch you on hangout soon.

Question:

I believe I have great technique and strategy in the game because I used to play at a somewhat high level (long time ago). But as I haven't been practicing any sports I feel like I need to catch my breath almost instantly when playing, usually after a couple aggressive rallies. I currently train daily in order to be physically prepared. I'm almost 30 years old. How much do you think I can improve my game by getting back on an athletic level?

Thanks!

Hi Fouad,

We are back with the show now so hopefully you will be able to catch one live soon.

I think the physical factor is important especially at a higher level.  If you can become better physically prepared, you will feel fresher and be able to think more clearly later int he match especially.  You will also be able to move quicker to the ball and get better position to make your strokes.
