Hi Coach,

My racket's rubber is having some black spots on edges and centre. What are they?

Hi Tushar,

It may be the the rubber is wearing out.  Rub your finger across the spots and see if they are slippery or still have grip.  If they are slippery then it may be time to change.

Its slippery. So is it the time to change?

Most likely. Just make sure you give it a quick clean with a damp cloth, dry off any water and then check again. If it's still slippery it means it is time to change.

I cleaned the rubber with some water and a lint less cloth. For sometime its grip returned but after playing 5 or 6 matches it was slippery.

Try to keep cleaning it regularly.
