Hi Alois,

I need some help with keeping the same angle of my bat for my finish position, and that reason is because when i make my forehand topspin while hitting the ball, the angle of my bat is just opening while getting to my eyebrow and is not generating any spin which makes the ball go to the net. And i keep correcting to not open my angle of the bat and when i do that, a lot of times the ball has way too much forward momentum which makes the ball go off the table and its still generating topspin, so when i tried to correct it, I tried to make my arm action more vertically and that what makes the ball go automatically on the net due to the opening angle action, and i have to put a lot of effort to keep the ball on the table, and its quite annoying, and im gonna be honest but i know training is the best way to improve, but for now i cant due to some construction and a lot of balls lost. So also before i used to play a lot but not train, i used to keep the same consistency all the time, but its like now im very bad at my strokes and very good at my serves. So if you were me what would you do with this situation Alois? so i can keep improving

Thanks! hope to get your answer as quick as possible

Hi Pasquale,

For the finish position think about the edge of your bat touching the eyebrow not the flat part of the rubber.  This will help you to keep the angle as you swing through.

As far as the issue with your training time, try to find a way to hit as many balls as possible in the amount of time that you have.  Can you put a barrier around the area so that you don’t lose so many balls in the other area.
