How to keep a backspin serve in the table

If I try to do a backspin serve, after first hit in my side it doesn't get a hit in the other's side. It comes to me.

Hi Vinayak,

Hit the ball more forward. Finish with your racket more towards the net rather than up in the air. This will get the ball more forward momentum and help it to go over the net.
