Strokes
How to improve my body reaction faster to hit the ball and make my eye catch up to the ball ?
Hi Sutthikan,
The key is tracking the ball all the way from the start of the serve. If you do this you will find it easier to react.
The next thing is to make sure you are always facing the ball and not try to predict where the ball is coming. Rely and trust in your tracking.
For our Premium members we have the lesson on Improving Your Reflexes.
It can be difficult to know how to deal with a slow spinny topspin. Although the ball may be slow, the topspin makes it hard to return effectively. This lesson presents 3 options of how to counter such a ball.

Thank you

a low stance to see the ball, I think is better too.
Alois Rosario from PingSkills Posted 9 years ago
Good point Martinand. That certainly does help you to be able to react and move to position.

thanks a lot

Thank a lot for the tip so I can improve my skill
D K Posted 9 years ago
but how low is the most correct?
I often try to get low and I end up with my bat in front of my eyes thus obscuring my sight or hitting the table with my elbow while looping
Sutthikan Sakulrungsap Posted 9 years ago
i think to stay low stance you have to find a stance that suit and comfort you. that you can move easily. and then train a footwork. i think this is right thing.
D K Posted 9 years ago
Quite difficult.
If I am in correct stance,I find it difficult to move, because one leg is always blocking the other.
But if I am not in correct stance,I have problems with executing strokes.
D K Posted 9 years ago
My legs are just too weak.
martinand bernard Posted 9 years ago
are you always on the front of the foot?
D K Posted 9 years ago
I am trying, but it is difficult, because I am losing my balance,I always fall over to the front if I am not pressing on my heels....somewhere is a mistake
Sutthikan Sakulrungsap Posted 9 years ago
Did you bent you knee?
Sutthikan Sakulrungsap Posted 9 years ago
Did you spread your leg wide enough if you do that it will make you balance
D K Posted 9 years ago
Yes,I bent them and yes I am trying to have them wide.
There just is something bad about me...I always fall to the front

Hi sir,
Is there a way to improve the muscle reflexes and the reaction time? Do you recommend any specific excercises to improve the reflexes?
I'm very lean and underweight, though, my reaction time is not really quick. I'm a bit slow.
Alois Rosario from PingSkills Posted 9 years ago
Hi John,
I think playing regularly is the best way to increase reaction time for Table Tennis. It is about learning and recognising cues but doing that subconsciously which takes a lot of hours on the table.

Thank you much for the advice sir!!
