Hello coaches,

I'm a student who's looking to do a school project on table tennis, especially regarding ball speeds, momentum and collisions between the ball an the racket. I've tried searching for data sets i could use. I wanted to ask if you any place i could get a large data set on these.

Thank you

Hi Prayag,

I am not aware of any data sets on this.

I wonder if anyone out there has seen anything that might be able to help Prayag.

Cone on head. Ping pong ball. A test of precision, patience… and pride.

Will Alois redeem himself? Or will Jeff forever hold the bragging rights?

🧠 Probably not how you should practise… but definitely how we do.

TTGearLab has created a database of blades that uses an objective measurement of the dynamic properties of each blade.  It seems to be based on the frequency response of the blades which makes sense if you want to characterize the dynamic response of the blades.  They use four performance parameters that are supposed to reflect the speed and feeling of each blade.  This may be of interest to you.
