Strokes
How can i counter fade shot deep on the backhand corner of the table me and my opponent are right handed ?
Hi Haseeb,
The first thing is to move across as far and as fast as you can to the backhand position. Remember to allow for the ball swinging away from you to your left.
Then make a topspin stroke back if possible. If you play a strong topspin it will counteract the sidespin and topspin on the ball. You can try to play a hook backhand but that is a lot more complex.
When you need to reach that really wide ball the regular shuffle step just won't get you there in time so you need to use the crossover step. This is essentially a running action to get you to the ball as fast as possible.
