When the opponent smashes I usually can't return it or it gets caught by the net. What should I do to reduce the opportunity of doing that?
Hi Minhong,
The main thing is to keep the ball low so that they don't get the opportunity to smash. Once you put the ball up high you are a low percentage chance of making the return as you are giving them the opportunity to attack fast.
The idea isn't to try and smash it back but rather to move back and make a Lob to keep yourself in the point.
