Hi Alois and Jeff

I am just a beginner in table tennis. My question: Is it always better to hit the ball low over the net so that my opponent can't catch it?

Hi Felix,

In general it is better to hit the ball lower.  It gives your opponent less options to work with and also makes it more difficult for them to hit the ball fast.
