hi i dont have a solid attacking forehand i have watched all your videos and nothing seems to work for an easy and effective forehand so i ask do you have got a technique that can help me any exercises

also when an aggressive player used to play at my club i was the best blocker in my town now he's stopped playing and i can feel my backhand block getting worse whether its my rubbers or my technique is getting worse can you help

Hi Eliot,

It is about technique.

You need to watch your technique.  Perhaps you can even use your phone or a video camera to record a little of your technique.  Then wtatch it back and see if it looks correct.  Often when we play ourselves it is hard to tell exactly what we are doing.  It may seem like we are doing the stroke correctly but in fact it may be flawed.

Watch to see if your start and finish positions are correct as we show you in our lessons.

With your backhand block, it shows the value of practice.  This game is not easy to master.  You need to constantly practice your strokes.  Since your partner has left you will not be getting as mush hitting against the attacking ball and so not as much practice in doing your block stroke.  See if you can find someone to train with and get them to topspin to you so that you can train your blocking skills.
